For our Hiteon Fun Run: HAPPY 50TH BIRTHDAY HITEON! we’re using an awesome web based fundraising system that makes it much easier for you to request pledges from your family and friends, and for them to make secure credit card donations online. It’s fun, it’s easy, and people who use it typically raise twice as much as those who don’t!

Remember, our Hiteon Fun Run: HAPPY 50TH BIRTHDAY HITEON! is on May 14th, so please register now to help our school raise as much as we can for supporting teachers directly, class level events, our Carnival, school book fair, Bingo Night, the science fair, and many other activities.

Using your computer’s browser:

Go to http://pledgestar.com/hiteon
Click “Not Registered For This Year’s Event”
Enter your name and email address, then click “Submit”
Follow the instructions on-screen to register Runner(s) and add family and friends

Using your Android or iPhone or tablet:

Go to your device’s App Store and search for “PledgeStar” to download the Family App, or go to https://pledgestar.com/hiteon/downloadapp.html
On the home screen enter your event code: “hiteon” to locate your event
Click “Not Registered For This Year’s Event
Enter your name and email address, then click “Submit”
Follow the instructions on-screen to register Runner(s) and add family and friends

When you finish, the system emails pledge requests to your family and friends, and allows them to make secure credit card donations online. You get notified each time a pledge is made, and you can track your pledge progress online.

Fun Run Details!

Set up your PledgeStar account to collect pledges from your friends and family.
Come to school on May 14th, ready to run! We will be running outside rain or shine. If on the day of the event it is not very nice outside, please pack an extra set of clothing and shoes for your child to change into.
HAVE FUN! Run your laps with your grade.You will be running for 17 minutes so pace yourselves and have a great race.
Let people know how many laps you ran so they can make their donation. Donations are due by Friday, May 23rd in order to be counted towards Fun Run prizes. However, we will continue to collect donations until the end of the school year.
Winners will be announced and prizes distributed at the Prize Assembly on Tuesday, May 27th.

Parents are welcome to come watch their kids run. The course will be on the field behind the school. Look for the designated parent viewing area. Entire grades will run together. Times are approximate.

Running Times

5th Grade 8:05 am – 8:40 am

4th Grade 9:00 am – 9:35 am

3rd Grade 10:05 am – 10:40 am

Kindergarten 11:40 am – 12:15 pm

2nd Grade 12:35 pm – 1:10 pm

1st Grade 1:30 pm – 2:05

Parents/guardians, please help your children with this fundraiser. This is our big one! These funds will help support all the fun for the 2025-2026 school year.

The students will need help setting up their PledgeStar account and contacting all those friends and relatives who are eager to support their little athletes!!

No Lap Counting: We have contracted with Uberthons to electronically tally students’ laps for us this year. This will help ensure accuracy and free up our Volunteers to help in other areas.

Volunteers Needed: We need many volunteers to pull off this event and hit our fundraising goal of $50,000. Please log into Raptor Volunteer Portal and sign up for a shift.

PERSONAL PRIZES

ALL STUDENTS will receive a Fun Run T-shirt and a water decal! This year EVERY STUDENT will receive a Fun Run 2025 T-shirt the day before the race. Please have your student wear their shirt to school on May 14th. This was made possible by our generous corporate sponsors.

NEW THIS YEAR: 10 AMAZING RAFFLE BASKETS

At the Prize Assembly on Tuesday, May 27th, we will be raffling off 10 awesome raffle baskets full of goodies. EVERY STUDENT will receive 1 raffle ticket. For every $50 students fundraise, they will be given an additional raffle ticket. Ten special 5th graders (selected by 5th grade teachers) will be drawing for each raffle basket during the Prize Assembly.
