Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day - November 14, 2023
On Tuesday, November 14th, walk to school to honor Rudy Bridges. Join one of the three (3) Hiteon Walking School Buses or walk to school to join students from around the country in a walk for justice, and take steps to build a better future where racism, and all forms of bullying, have no place.
WE NEED YOUR HELP! Hiteon loves Walking School Buses! Students meet up at a designated location and walk to school together with approved volunteer adult supervision. We would love to have more adult volunteers! If you are already a walker or want to and are interested in leading or helping with a Walking School Bus on Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day, please email vp2committees@hiteon.org. We’d love to offer multiple routes to Hiteon so that students from all of the surrounding neighborhoods have a route available to them.
PLEASE note: you must be approved to volunteer in the Better Impact system before you can lead a walking school bus.
