BSD Food Resource Holiday Schedule & Community Resources
Compiled by Hiteon’s social worker, Tim Ribner, here are some important information regarding food distribution during the Winter Break and community resources.

Food Resources
There are a few changes to the Fall Food Resource distribution for November and December. Only two schools will host Urban Gleaners Mobile Markets during Thanksgiving and Winter breaks:
Beaverton High School
November 22 & December 20
2 :30 -3:30 p.m.
Aloha High School
November 24 & December 22 & 29
2:30-3:30 p.m.

Community Resources
Housing
- Community Action, rental assistance. Call Mondays at 9am 503-615-0770. Fill out prescreening request here.
- Oregon Emergency Rental Assistance Program **Fill out application by Dec 1** (there is a 6 week break after this). Start your application here
- St. Vincent de Paul, Hillsboro. Apply here.
McKinney-Vento Support
- If you are experiencing housing difficulties you may qualify for additional services from Beaverton School District.
If you are living in any of the following situations:
Shared housing with other friends or families
Runaway/homeless youth, and students who are not living with a parent or legally court-appointed guardian
Temporary or transitional housing
Emergency and domestic violence shelters
Motels or hotels
Campgrounds or inadequate trailer homes
Substandard housing (homes without heat, water, or working appliances
Cars, abandoned buildings, parks, the streets or other public spaces

- Food boxes are available at the school. From Pacific Foods. Non-perishables. Urban Gleaners at various Beaverton Schools.
- “Shop” for various foods/meats/vegetables. Types of foods/availability varies depending on what is available and when you arrive.
